this is skambankt! one of the best and biggest hard rock bands out of norway releasing one album better than the other.
2018 was Skambankt’s come-back year with the massive album “Horisonten Brenner”. The release was followed by a Norwegian tour, sold out gigs, the release of a live album “Live At Rockefeller 2018”, A-listing on 4 Norwegian radio channels, great feedback from press and fans, and well deserved placements on several Album of the Year lists. Already after the first single, NRK P3’s Tete (big Norwegian radio rock show) said that “If they competed in song writing in the Olympics, Skambankt would have won with this track”. The album was also praised by Norwegian press with 5/6 from amongst other The Wilhelmsens, Dagsavisen, Stavanger Aftenblad and HA to mention some few, while Musikknyheter gave them a warm welcome: “[…] after over 20 years as a band, “Horisonten Brenner” confirms that Skambankt is one of the best rock bands from Norway in 2018.”
Reviews on "Horisonten Brenner" (in NOR)
Full guffe!"
5/6 Stavanger Aftenblad: "Tungt og solid"
5/6 Hamar Arbeiderblad: "engasjerende, velprodusert og klassisk. Her henger alt på greip."
5/6 Rogalands Avis
Skambankt started up by coincidence in 1994 when there was a cancellation at a festival they were at. After a couple of hours, the band had written nine songs that were performed the same night as replacement. 10 years went by before the first debut was released, Skambankt's self-titled album from 2004, a record that quickly got noticed and left their fast-growing fan base wanting more. Today, Skambankt is considered Norway's pioneers in the genre, and with a discography of 6 albums, 1 live album and 1 EP they've managed to captivate their audience. After the come-back in 2018 the band is stronger and better than ever!
