London's The Osiris Club have premiered their new music video for the track 'The Signal' exclusively with Prog. The song is taken from their latest, critically acclaimed album 'The Wine-Dark Sea'. The video is filmed at an old railways station in Kent - perfectly matching the beautiful and trippy atmosphere of this song.
The band commented on the track: “The Signal is based on the short story The Waiting Room by Robert Aickman from the collection Dark Entries, which was first published in 1964", and continued: "The video was filmed and directed by The Osiris Club's vocalist, Sean Cooper and filmed in Sydenham, Kent. It was the perfect setting for the story.”
The thrash metal quartet Vorbid releases their second single titled 'Intention Intervention', off their debut album 'Mind', coming April 13. 'Intention Intervention' is heavy, technical and energetic ride, balanced out by the moments of meditative and trance-like states. The band comments: "We are proud to announce the second single from our upcoming album "Mind"! 'Invention Intervention' is song with a straight to the point intro with classic thrash tones. The lyrics are set in a robotic and dystopian future, which goes well with the technical and progressive elements of the song. This song fits perfect with the overall theme of the album."
Harding is a tribute to Hardanger, the area of Norway where Dreamarcher comes from. It is written with respect to those from the past who clung to the steep mountain sides, planted fruit trees, played the fiddle with eight strings and dressed the mountains in large black pipes which fueled the turbines of industry. They created a society and a life for all those who came after them. Harding was written with the fascination of both the heroic and legendary stories, of common people who fought their own battles of survival.
Dreamarcher, the band of a unique sound rising out of the Hardanger fjord premieres their music video for 'Dalen', off their upcoming EP titled 'Harding'. The inspiration behind 'Dalen' comes from the story of Marta Dalen, written down by the local historian Jan Gravdal. The band comments:"Marta Dalen died in 1973, almost burying with her a secret she had kept inside a rose painted box for 72 years, had it not been for a chance interview with Jan Gravdal. It is a fatal and fascinating, yet beautiful story of unfulfilled love." ...
